Transcon adds conveying line to connect quarterfolder
TC Transcontinental is a Canadian retail marketing services company and Canada's largest printer designing and delivery innovative, high‑value products and services. In their Calgary plant a new quarter-folder has been added to produce magazine size products.
A customized conveying line will connect folder and quarter-folder:
Space constraints and plant logistics resulted in a solution where the copies will be picked-up behind a gripper delivery station and transported to the infeed of the quarter-folder. The highly customized conveying line includes “Spiral”-, “C”- and “S”-conveyors as well as a portion of high-conveyors and a floor conveyor at the infeed of the quarter-folder. All this to guarantee safe copy transport, best usage of the available space and easy access with as much free floor space as possible for the operators.
