New robot for 96p press at Niedermayr
Up to 100 million A4 pages per day at speeds of up to 180,000 cph (@ 24p on two streams) - an impressive number of inserts and sales catalogs are produced on this press. As always in a retail application, the products are trimmed, stacked and finally palletized.
The customer already had a 96p press equipped with IN-LOG | GÄMMERLER robots. The good results of this installation were the key for upgrading the second 96p press with an identical robotic installation.
At the end of two Gämmerler trimming and stacking lines, new end-of-line automation was added, including new bundle conveyors, automatic strapping lines and a palletizing cell with two robotic arms.
