Post press, bindery & packaging – from simple machines to complete systems
Packaging – stackers & palletizing
stackers | robots | conveyors | bundle handling
Paper and cardboard are increasingly replacing plastic as packaging materials. Our packaging solutions safely and efficiently collect, count, and stack envelopes, dividers, and cardboard. Additional equipment may be necessary for optimal integration. This could include flexible conveying solutions in front of the stacker and versatile bundle handling systems downstream, completed by end-of-line automation with a robot.
Conveying systems: floor conveyors, reject gates, stream aligners, pressing units,…
Compensating stackers: for envelopes, cartons, cardboards – for single products and for shingled streams
Bundle handling:accumulation conveyors, dividers, turntables, bundle turning,…
Palletizing:robots & mini-robots (optional as cobots), equipped with different grippers (mechanical, suction,…)
Options:Together with our certified partners we integrate strapping, banding, film wrapping a.o. solutions.
Do you have a special request or requirement?
As a solution provider with a strong technical background, supported by the MERTEN Group and RIMA, we have the resources and experience necessary to develop and implement customized solutions successfully.
RS 10S | RS 10SW – packaging stackers für single products
Depending on the application, products are delivered as single products or in a shingled stream. The RS 10S and RS 10SW (for x-tra wide products) compensating stackers transform the incoming single products into counted and compensated stacks. The bundles coming from the stacker can be manually or automatically palletized.
Technical data: up to 20.000 copies/h (single products), product size RS 10S: A4 - A3+, product size RS 10SW: ~A4 – 610 x 406 mm
Options: divert gate, stream aligner, pressing unit, legs fixed to floor and stacker body moveable (le/ri) on linear guides to correctly receive products which are not centered.

RS 20S | RS 20SW – packaging stackers for shingled streams
Depending on the application, products are delivered as single products or in a shingled stream. The RS 20S and RS 20SW (for x-tra wide products) compensating stackers transform the incoming shingled stream into counted and compensated stacks. The bundles coming from the stacker can be manually or automatically palletized.

Palletizing – mini-robot ERIC for bundles & boxes / cartons
The ERIC mini-robot is ideal for smart, low-speed palletizing applications where high-end robots are usually too expensive or space-consuming. ERIC is an efficient solution for slow-running web presses, smaller bookbinding lines, and packaging lines that produce paper and cardboard envelopes. ERIC impresses with its speed, reach, and payload capacity, which are all typical requirements of our industry. ERIC is space-efficient, mobile and can be used as a collaborative robot (cobot). ERIC is based on proven industrial robot technology, ensuring high reliability and minimal downtime.
Technical data: up to 400 bundles/h or 400 cartons(boxes)/h, product size for loose/strapped/wrapped products: appr. A4 (optional A5 to A3), product size cartons: min 200x200 mm to max 600x400 mm, one infeed line, mechanical gripper for bundles, alternatively suction gripper for closed cartons and boxes, palletizing onto one or two pallets, with safety fence

Options – pressing units, stream aligners, divert gates | bundle conveying | strapping, banding, film wrapping...
Depending on the product range, application, and workflow, optimizing product flow before and after the compensating stacker may be useful or necessary. This could include copy alignment, an automatic divert gate for rejected copies, or press belts to flatten products.
After compensating stackers, accumulation conveyors can transport the bundles further for optional processes like banding, strapping, boxing, and automated palletizing.
