IN-LOG | GÄMMERLER strengthens its Service & Support department.

R. Schifferer joins the company as new Head of Customer Support.

Following the acquisition of Gämmerler GmbH, we successfully merged the Gämmerler and In-Log machines into the IN-LOG | GÄMMERLER portfolio. As a leading supplier of postpress solutions, we believe in print. We support the large and worldwide installed base of our postpress machines and realize new projects together with our customers. This includes relocations, reconfigurations and individual rebuild programs, but also the planning and installation of additional equipment - from compensating stackers to complete lines, realized with new, on-site existing, and refurbished components.

In order to best serve our customers worldwide, we have decided to strengthen our support team. We are very pleased to welcome Mr. We are very pleased to welcome Mr. Ralf Schifferer  new Head of Customer Support  at IN-LOG | GÄMMERLERzu dürfen. Mr. Schifferer comes from the postpress industry and is firmly rooted in technology. He learned the trade from the ground up and has commissioned machines and systems all over the world. With him, we are creating a single point of contact for our global customers. "The future in Post Press ? ... creating solutions together!" True to this vision, Ralf Schifferer and his team will manage Customer Support at IN-LOG | GÄMMERLER and handle all service and support requests in a professional, targeted and timely manner.

„Factory tested“ – for a more efficient start-up

Well, there are things we are doing differently – our #Postpress conveying systems are assembled, wired and tested at our factory before traveling to their final destination. Advantage for our customers is the optimized start-up – on-time, fast and without long action plans. Any mechanical, pneumatic or electrical problem is discovered and fixed during our in-house acceptance procedures. The software is loaded, tested and optimized, avoiding the programming on site. After pre-acceptance all modules are carefully disassembled, packed and ready to go. The installation team knows that everything is tested and will not experience surprises. We believe it is worth doing this extra effort – our customers experience a smooth start-up and benefit from shorter times until live production!

CS3160 Lift stracker – the customer solution!

Pre-Acceptance passed and ready to go – another two CS 3160 lift stackers are on its way. The CS 3160 lift stacker is more and more becoming the new standard for high-speed / high-volume stacking. The reason for its success ? It has been developed in close cooperation with some of the leading web printers, resulting in a stacker designed by operators and for operators ! The KL 540 / KL 560 lift stackers have for a long time been recognized as the benchmark in lift stacking and In-Log | Gämmerler is proud to present a successor with some significant improvements. While being as rugged and reliable as the old Gammerler stackers, the CS 3160 is more compact and has a much better access to infeed, upper bin and turntable. These features improve the ease of use and were on the operator’s wish list. The great performance of the CS 3160 has turned in more than 10 sales in the last couple of months only. All these machines will replace existing stackers from different brands. More to come – the frames for the next stackers already arrived…

PRINT PRODUCTION „ON THE FLY“ – the keyword for the future

A postpress system of highest efficiency and flexibility, this was the requirement Gämmerler had to fulfill. No question Gämmerler rose to the challenge by developing and implementing a future-oriented installation at the customer’s printing plant.

The possibility for a continuous change from one pre-set printing job to the next one without stopping the press and losing precious time – “On the Fly” at full press speed – is just one of the key features to achieve the required goal.

The link to the Gämmerler G-CONNECT Logistic System allows the components of the postpress line – overhead conveying system FS260, compensating stacker KL565, as well as palletizing robot PR460 with double gripper and slipsheet feeder – to be in permanent data-exchange with the MIS-System, in order to ensure an uninterrupted transparency of the production-process.

Reliable tracking facilitates tracing of each individual printed product in the overhead conveying system, as well as of the created bundle in the downstream line, and therefore ensures a precise net count, reducing the risk of an over- or underdelivery.

The logistic control of the compensating stackers, bundle lines and robots, that means the allocation of the bundles resp. pallets in accordance with the destination/postcodes, enables the individual processing of the bundles within a production and therefore meets the consequent demand for small, target group oriented circulations.

Once again Gämmerler has faced the current challenges of the market and successfully realized a postpress line which due to its efficiency corresponds to the customer’s demand for increased profitability.
